Real World Budget
The 6th grade students in Room 307 are learning about creating budgets and how math is used in the real world.
We are using this wiki space to share our work!
The first thing we did was brainstorm a budget together. Then we set up our spreadsheet:

Find a place to live, calculate your mortgage or rent
Choose your transportation
Calculate the costs of public transportation
Owning a car
Calculate costs of owning a car
Maintenance (Oil Changes, repairs, etc.)
List and household budget bills (fixed expenses)
Determine costs of Insurance
Determine Food Budget (Variable Expense)
Determine Entertainment Expenses (Variable Expense)
Research a career!
